25 farmers from Dibang Agro Farmer’s Producer Company from LDV conducted 3 days (13 to 15 March 2021) exposure visit to College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat through the support of NABARD and organized by Producer Organization Promoting Institution (POPI) AMYAA NGO. The inaugural session of the first day training, the farmers had the honour of the visit of Advisor to CM Shri Gabriel D Wangsu. He spoke on the upcoming Government schemes for farmers. He encouraged the farmers mainly the youth to take up farming as a profession, which has much potentialities. Shri BN Hazarika, Dean CHF, and convenor Dr. Chandran Deo from the college are the over organizers for 3 day exposure visit focuses to enlighten the farmers on improving the productions, technology of spice crops. Under this topic the learned resource persons from college of Horticulture and Forestry would cover the wide range topics on improve cultivation practice in black pepper, improve production technology of ginger and tumeric, pests management, farm waste and disease management, processing of ginger and turmeric, scope and opportunities of spices in Arunachal Pradesh. The 3 days tour was comprise of both theoretical sessions and field visits.
