On the auspicious occasion of Farmer’s Day a Financial Literacy Campaign for Roing block of Lower Dibang Valley District, ArunachalPradesh was jointly organized today by LDM_Roing & Amyaa ngo at AMYAA NGO training hall, Mayu-II, Roing. Shri Kesang Ngurup Damo, APCS DC Roing was the Chief Guest of the program. HoDs from Agriculture, Veterinary, Fishery, KVK, DDM NABARD Shri Nitya Mili, representative bankers from SBI, HDFC spoke on various Govt Schemes and banking facilities. Deputy Commissioner Roing spoke on the need for Govt Departments and Bankers to work for the welfare of the communities in the District. He encouraged farmers to go for organic farming. He said, that he would soon launch free plastic district and appeal everyone to cooperate and create awareness for success of the mission. Shri AP Singha LDM, Roing and Shri RK Paul Chawang, Secretary AMYAA also spoke on the occasion. DC, Roing gave away Certificates of Recognition to best performing farmers and local Entrepreneurs in different sectors. The participants comprised of farmers, SHGs, FPO, budding entrepreneurs, unemployed youth, team AMYAA & Childline Roing. Participants had interactions with DC, HoDs, & Bankers.
