On occasion of Daan Utsav “Joy of giving week” CHILDLINE Roing conducted open donation campaign in Roing, Lower Dibang Valley. The campaign started by creating a poster on Daan Utsav which was circulated and shared on social media like whatsapp and Facebook. The campaign was welcomed and praised by many netizens of Roing. Positives responses came from every corner of the district. Boxes of toys, clothes, stationery item and books kept coming through out the Joy of giving week.
The campaign concluded on 10 October. A total of 86 children were reached and given clothes, books, toys, stationery item and sweets etc.
Ishaya Milli coordinator of CHILDLINE Roing stated that ” she had never felt this motivated and proud, seeing the smiles on the children faces. She thank the entire district for the support and for making this campaign short and successful amidst COVID-19. She promised that her team would work at the best interest of every child irrespective of caste and tribe. Her only prayer was see our state Arunachal Pradesh free from Children’s exploitation.
