Foundation Stone of Rural Haat laid at DAMBUK
The foundation stone of rural haat at Dambuk a project implemented by AMYAA NGO with the support of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) was laid at Dambuk by Shri Kabang Apum EAC Dambuk in the presence of Shankar Jaishi Branch manager APEX Bank Dambuk, Tokbom Sasing BJP mandal president, RK Paul Secretary AMYAA NGO, Toni Borang (Programme convener), AMYAA staff and representatives from Dambuk farmers.
Speaking at the event Kabang Apum thanked NABARD and AMYAA for providing such initiatives help to the farmers, encouraging them towards self sustainability and empowering farmers at grassroots level. He assured of his support and told the local farmer to take full advantage of the Rural Haat once it’s completed.
R.K Paul also stated that NABARD has always been in support of rural development providing livelihood schemes and projects for dedicated farmers and budding entrepreneurs. He urged the people to use the facility to increase their production and earning in days to come.

Inauguration of Rural Mart at Bomjir Village
Rural Mart established by Midum SHG of Bomjir village was inaugurated at Bomjir. The venture of rural Mart was promoted by AMYAA NGO and supported by the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
The mart was declared open by Ex ZPM Shri Nalom Lego in the presence of team AMYAA NGO, MIDUM SHG, Bango Secretary Kennedy Perme and Senior representatives of Bomjir village. The main objective of the rural mart is economic empowerment of women in the village level, providing a market link for handloom and handicraft product, manufactured by women SHGs.
Nalom Lego while giving his message appreciated the efforts put in by Midum SHG to be one of the most active SHGs under Dambuk Block. He further said that getting Rural Mart through NABARD is truly recognition of their hard work. Smt Akaam Lego on behalf of Midum SHG expressed their gratitude to NABARD and AMYAA for granting the rural mart project in their village. She assured that her SHG would take the lead in marketing the local products of all other SHGs under Dambuk Block.
Speaking at the event, R.K Paul secretary of AMYAA NGO expressed his happiness in fulfilling the cherish dream of the women SHG of Bomjir by opening the Rural Mart which will provide an outlet for showcasing the unique product and to promote sales to the outside world. He urged the people to support the empowerment of women by way of forming the Self-help groups and getting the benefit of various schemes. He also elaborated on various schemes being implemented by the NABARD for empowerment of women and farmers in India.
