27th August, 2017: District Administration Roing in collaboration with AMYAA NGO conducted a financial literacy
awareness programme in Balek village, Roing of Lower Dibang Valley district. The programme aimed at creating awareness among the general public on various financial benefits that could be availed from the Banks.
Chief Manager, Shri M. Ramchiary, SBI Roing the main resource person spoke on various Central Government Subsidized schemes and security schemes being implemented by NABARD and Banks for the benefits of villagers. He spoke on various subjects like financial inclusion, financial planning, various financial products like saving accounts, recurring deposit (RD), Fixed Deposit (FD), loans and advances, PMJDY, PMSSY, PMJJBY, APY, KCC, MUDRA Yojna, DEEN DAYAL UPADHAYA SWALAMBAN YOJANA, DEEN DAYAL UPADHAYA BUNKAR YOJANA, CHIEF MINISTER’S KRISHI RINN YOJANA. Shri. R. K. Paul Chawang, Secretary AMYAA NGO along with his staff Ms. Aseng Perme and Mr. Ramesh Kumar Singh facilitated the awareness programme. A total of 34 participants comprising of SHG, Farmers’ Club members, Panchayat members and villagers attended the programme.
The initiative taken by Shri Deepak Shinde, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Roing has help the rural community to have better knowledge of the schemes, loans and other Bank related facilities provided for the benefits of rural communities.
