Dibang Women Mult-purpose Cooperative Society (DWMCS) comprising of 38 SHGs from the District of Lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh are set to start income generating activity by opening Tea & Snacks shop at Roing Park. The SHGs comprising of Primary & Cluster Level Federations under the banner of DWMCS envisages to help each other for socio-economic sustainability. The recent opening of Dholla-Sadiya Bridge connecting Assam and Roing, Arunachal Pradesh has paved in huge inflow of tourists from neighboring states. The DWMCS comprises of SHGs members from both Idu-Mishmi & Adi (Padam) communities.
DWMCS has been promoted by AMYAA NGO with the objective of creating a common platform for rural and urban indigenous women to meet, connect, interchange ideas & experiences and to work towards achievement of transformational economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development.
